The PL1200 Smart Link HomePlug engine uses the Qualcomm Atheros QCA7500 chipset for HomePlug and the QCA8334 chipset for Gigabit Ethernet. The QCA7500 chipset provides HPAV2 SISO and MIMO dual integrated line drivers. This means that two transmitters are able to transmit on any two of three plug pairs: Live, neutral and earth.

The Solwise 1200AV2 adapter features faster processing power and Fast Ethernet host interfaces. The solution is in compliance with the IEEE1901 HomePlug AV and HomePlug AV2 standards allowing hassle-free compatibility with existing HomePlug AV devices and other suppliers of IEEE1901 PLC (Powerline Line Communication) devices.

Enhanced Quality of Service (QoS) also provides the guaranteed bandwidth reservations for multimedia payloads including HDTV, SDTV over IP (IPTV), higher data rate broadband sharing, online-gaming, VoIP Calls, extending wireless LAN coverage, printer and peripheral sharing, audio-Video transmission across the network and network camera connectivity as well.

The PL1200 provides a configuration push button for a convenient way of creating your HomePlug network without the need to using the Device Utility from a computer. The security is supported by a 128-bit AES Hardware encryption, ensuring the network communication is free from eavesdroppers and hackers.

Remember, you will need at least two HomePlug devices to form a HomePlug connection. More HomePlug AV2 devices can be added to further share your network.
